Here at The Moses Project we champion those around us who support and love what we do.

All of this contributes and pushes us to continue to work which is so desperately needed in our community. With demand only growing as the weather gets colder and the cost of living rises, the work we do and the benefit we create for our beneficiaries is being recognised.

First we must recognise the two champions who lead the way in creating this safe and comforting environment.

Stella Jones

Senior Manager

Passionate about making a difference. I share Brian’s passion and drive to help improve the lives of those in need along with his long-term vision for the charity.

I have been a registered nurse for over 40 years, having formally worked as a sister in an acute sector and have years of experience working with long-term problems connected with substance misuse. With a specalism in working with older adults, I bring to the charity not only my valuable medical knowledge but also my caring patient centered manor.

Good things happen in Stockton and CSJ recognised this at their 2022 awards celebration in London this year.

We are truly honoured and humbled to win. Following the success of the evening we were even luckier, we had listening ears, MPs and policy makers around is hearing us champion the work we need to continue as times get tougher for our beneficiaries.

Brian was able to be our guys advocates speaking about Methadone and pointing out the need for dealing with the root causes of addiction. We were invited back to CSJ on Tuesday to discuss further our views to assist overall recovery from Addiction.

We met some wonderful people and passionate people about their Charities.

What an honour and privilege to receive The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (the MBE for volunteer groups) in recognition of the hard work of all our volunteers and staff, in making The Moses Project what it is today. We especially love how this award highlights our volunteers.

Our charity operates by creating a safe place built on relationships and trust, where the men we help feel seen, feel hope and feel loved. Every day our volunteers show up with smiles and big hearts for the sometimes challenging work, but also to see the life changing transformations they’ve played a key role in.

Ultimately, it’s the relationships we build that make the good things happen. Here’s to all our volunteers and every other award winner in the voluntary sector!

What a day we had on Wednesday! The Lord Lieutenant Susan Snowdon paid us a visit to present our Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. We couldn’t do what we do without our wonderful volunteers so it was a really special day spent with them, some of our benefactors, supporters, trustees and of course just a few of the men we help.
Check out the last pic – one of our volunteers made that fantastic cake! We truly are blessed and … I may have got a little emotional on stage, it’s a day none of us will forget.
